Weathering the Storm
Callgrim's scarf nearly killed me last time, so it made perfect sense to do giant capes and shoulder pauldrons this time around. The capes are first screen printed then battle damaged by implementing a number of complex weathering processes. The capes are first grubbed up by rolling them in dirt. They are then stiffened up with acrylic medium. Next, the capes are torn, beat up, stabbed and burned. Finally, I touch them up with a few paint washes.

Thank You!
Thank you so much to everyone that participated in this crazy experiment! The success of this has already green lit the next project. I love that I can do what needs to be done without compromise...I can't thank you guys enough for that.
So, per usual, don't expect shipping notices any time soon. I still have a ton to do on these before I send them out. I will keep you guys posted here with pics and sketches and content along the way.
You guys are wicked awesome.

Dirty Details
This launch will include a few big ticket items. Some wallets will be beat to shit after this one. I just had to take the DRT thing a step further. The DRT WARP bikes and figures opened up the flood gates of creativity in me. I am loving that I have the freedom to present Callgrim to you guys the way that I want to - the way that I need to. I must say that this was a daunting task from the get go. I've always been an "Aw fuck it- let's do this" type of guy... this project is most definitely an "Aw fuck it- let's do this" type of project. Paul and the crew pulled it off again. Expect more projects like this in the future.
This Friday:
DRT Wraith
These bad boys are full production 16 piece vinyl with a 30 piece pvc arm gun cannon attachment on each arm. Each limited edition Wraith has multiple Deluxe Real Type paint applications. The Wraith also comes with a hand weathered 2 piece screen printed cloak. The figure will be packed in a special screen printed box. There will be an exclusive limited edition tee shirt packed in there and maybe some other bells and whistles too. ( Be sure to supply preferred tee shirt size at check out.)
$200
DRT Hexxer
Hexxer comes with 2 WARP packs configured as a WARP flight pack, rifle and 2 blasters. There are 2 Callgrim heads and 2 Order heads. Hexxer has 38 pvc pieces in all with multiple Deluxe Real Type paint applications. Hexxer features the most complex paint applications on a Glyos figure to date. The figure will be packed in a screen printed box.
$40

Thank ye Lads and Lasses!
I went over to Matt's after the germ cloud cleared to work on the next secret DRT beef bomb... This one may end me!
PJ and Drew have been recruited to help package things up. I love those guys. Look for shipping notices toward the end of the week.

I Heart NY, OSM and the Four Hoursemen's Futuretro Show
My kid kept up the pace like a trooper- gooble gobble- one of us, one of us... We conquered the city. Grilo was a great body guard. What a motley crew. We had an amazing adventure that took us from Matt's to Mel's, Mass to NYC, from the New Yorker to the Village, Times Square and beyond. It was Ciar's first time in the Big City. We rode in cars, cabs and subways. I almost committed two homicides. Grilo paid $100 for bacon and eggs on 5th Avenue. We saw a man shitting into a suitcase. We saw a ton of delis and peepshows. We went to half a dozen comic shops and toy stores...we saw a ferris wheel in a T-Riggity. Toy Tokyo was the best.
The funnest part of the trip was hanging with all of the Glyos clowns in the Village during another food crawl. What a great bunch of dudes. I love breaking bread with friends and loved ones. It was great hanging with Mel while he held court over fried hot dogs wrapped in bacon at Crif Dogs... We chowed spiced meat logs at Tuck's, ate piles of 'zza at Matt's favorite pizza place on the planet. We gobbled gay frozen yogurt, ate 16 Scoops (1lb) and more pizza at Stromboli's. Why are there no kinish carts in Boston?
Ciar had a blast- I had a blast and was extra happy to have shared this experience with my boy. The kid has to work on his beard though... Oh yeah- There is a Callgrim drop on Friday...

CALLGRIM 2012
I have a battle plan for 2012. There will be a number of launches
that will feature some new approaches to things. There will be more
bigger boxed items put together pretty much the same way as the DRT WARP
Bikes. There will be DRT ( deluxe real type) figures, DX (deluxe
painted) figures , classic painted, clears and glows. There will be
plenty of bikes over the next few months...and other big baddies to take
on the likes of the big rig. Matt and I have a bunch of intertwining
stories in the works. Expect a bunch of crossovers and CCC3. I am going
to try to hustle some Callgrim tees as well...Maybe do some squeegie
yanking with Boris.
Prices on things will be dictated by how much I put into each project. I am amazed at how successful I am at finding new and inventive ways of losing money. I try not to make it too painful on the wallet for you guys despite my costly creative self indulgences... or bells and whistles. I sleep easy at night knowing that you can get piles of stuff cheap over with the Beard Lord. Don't worry- I will still sprinkle a few classic style $10 releases in this year.
2011 was a successful year for Callgrim. Successful in that it gimps along at a break even pace- enough for me to continue doing it without getting thrown out of the house... for now. The Holding Cell will be a major feature of the 2012 approach to bringing you new things. Some people will dig what I do here- others will hate it. I will use the Holding Cell to do mini launches, one of a kind customs and other weird shit. There will be little if any notice on what's going on there- so keep checking in. I have to be a mercenary here- Callgrim needs more pals to roll with and steel is not cheap.
2012 will be a doozie... Big launches, little launches- new stuff, old stuff- Holding Cell madness and more- Glow-Bones! Glow-Bones! Glow-Bones!

Happy Holidays!
I must say that this grand experiment that was the DRT WARP Bike wave went well thanks to everyone that participated. It was a risky one- but I think the risk was worth it! I will definitely be doing more DRT stuff in the future... and boxes. I had a blast doing the boxes. I am so glad that people appreciated the extra bells and whistles... I give deep heartfelt thanks to all of you guys for the support and kind words that help drive me to do this stuff. You guys also have the patience of saints. I know it takes a while for me to get shipping notices out- I know I am a slow poke. Blame stress- OCD and AADD and ODD...
2011 was a very successful year for Callgrim. We tried some new things this year that will sort of set the stage for 2012. There are some cool things in the works that I hope you guys will dig... and some weird twists. The fan support is a huge part of what allows for stuff to get done. I am so grateful that I can continue to do this.
Matt is an amazing friend... the best. He is not only responsible for bringing us Glyos- but he has allowed a clown like me to romp in this world with Callgrim and his pals. 2012 will be a big year for Callgrim... more romping... more pals. Thanks brother!
